Distance Education
Distance education is a form of teaching in which students do not need to physically attend the study site. In this teaching system, the student receives the study material (personally, by post, email or other possibilities offered by the Internet), allowing in the educational act new techniques and strategies of learning focused on the student himself, Thus promoting self-education and self-management, that is, it is a flexible and self-directed education, whose main tools are communication and information technologies. The learning developed with the new communication technologies is called e-learning. The most commonly used platform for this modality is Moodle.1
Distance education Depending on the study center, students can go physically to receive tutorials, or they must take face-to-face exams. There is distance education for any level of education, but it is usually offered for university studies.
